You like the trance music, yes?

Apologies if you've seen this before but this is the most fun thing I've come across in months.

Make your own trance music with the Tony-B Machine

PS. Even if you HATE trance music, you will love THIS.

Which Games Console?

It does make me laugh, all this video game console crap.

And I find the whole PC vs. Mac thing pretty hilarious, too.

What do I mean? Well I just feel I have to chuckle whenever I hear someone slagging off PCs.

For a start, I was playing Karateka on a Mac Classic before most of these Apple fanboys were even able to walk.

So don't step to me like you love Macs and I don't.

But when was the last time you could open up your Mac to have a play inside? Instead, you send it off to get it back a few weeks later... a few hundred quid lighter.

And oh I'm sorry, what do Macs have inside these days? Intel dual core chips is it? So basically powered by PC power.

But Macs are just so user friendly!

Oh just grow up and go and buy a Sony Vaio. Just as beautiful, if not moreso, than a mac that looks like it's been designed in a private Zurich health clinic.

Anyway, I digress. You want a PC because you can play ridiculously fun and photo-real games. Which brings me to this hilarious little flow chart I ffffound.

Are these the best links in the world?

A couple of weeks ago, I emailed two friends of mine, Nick and Jadell, a link to, I think, 22 audio files of John Bonham drumming in the studio.

Nick called it the link of his life.

I don't know if I'd go that far with the links I'm posting below but they ain't bad.

A Hip Hop mix from every year from 1979 - 1995. That's a lot of Hip Hop.

I'm sure my good mate, Theo, has a similar record stashed away on audio cassette. And my mate, Matt, has thrown 800, yes 800, tunes into his 48minute mix.

And there's plenty I'd change about some of the track listings.

But there are going to be some corkers and I'm going to try to cram every one onto my small, outdated iPod:

1979-1989 Hip Hop History

1990-1995 Hip Hop History

And there's my week's listening sorted.

Cheers Iain.Me and you need to go for a long drink one evening.

Sunday Night Great Idea Club

Introducing the Gambian Giant Pouched Rat.

Weighing in at 4kg, it's about the same weight as a laptop - and maybe just as clever.

But despite its huge dimensions, this small dog impersonator is still light enough to walk over a landmine without detonating it.

Luckily, it's also pretty deaf and blind, so has a super developed sense of smell. As a result, it can sniff out explosives buried in the ground.

It runs on bananas and a wire track, to which it's attached via a harness. Up, down, up, down, until a grid is cleared.

A massive round of applause for the Gambian Giant Pouched Rat.

Monday Evening Art Club

Monday joke

Q: What's black and doesn't work?

A: Bernard Manning's lungs.

WTF is this? Pt. II

Welcome to the second installment of WTF is this?

The first was a random Julie Andrews/rubbish tip poster (see post below.)

This one is slightly more offensive.

Don't say I didn't warn you. This is wrong.

Perfect ad

This ad's entitled 'Perfect Day'.

It's actually from 2004 but as I'd never seen it before, I thought it was brand new when I saw it on TV tonight.

Watch it before you read my comments below. They might spoil it for you.

I don't know about you but I was was just waiting for the grotesque limb-twisting accident to happen.

It makes for an emotional ride. As a biker, you watch it enjoying the day out. But your brain tells you you're probably about to witness motorcycling horror show.

The fact that you don't I think is credit to the creative team. For once, scare tactics are left well alone.

Refreshing, don't you think?

And well worth putting back on four years later. Even if I never saw it the first time around.
